History of Kabi over the last 4 years XD;
Here's a long story because I just feel like writing it down >.>

1. I first drew this design, I remember perfectly, back in June 2007. I was in Language class, bored to death, and I started drawing on my notebook. I drew Kirby and right beside it I drew Kabi [back then called Kabbi]. This design was simple as f-ck. She was 15~16 years old. She wore a t-shirt, jeans and red snickers. She wore gauntlets on her arms and had holes on her palms which she would use to suck things in or out, on the right and left hands respectively. Note I hadn't added the Star Pendant to her design o3o
2. That summer I became obsessed with Lucky Star and my style reflects it even today [sometimes >->]. This isn't really a redesign, but it was the first time I coloured Kabi. I've always liked to keep my designs' colours simple~
3. This was the first mayor redesign I did for her. It was back then that I started thinking seriously of separating Kabi and Kirby; making Kabi's story that of a mahou shoujo. Misao Nozomi was born that day as Kabi's secret identity (But she looked a whole f-cking lot like Akira Kogami). I'll admit to having taken inspiration from Ishikei's style back then orz This design was way too complicated and overly senseless. The gauntlets, once huge, now turned into some sort gloves and held no importance anymore. Her wings were huge too >.> This Kabi's age was not older than 17. And this was also the Star Pendant's first appearance (as an orb on her collar). It would allow Misao to trigger the transformation as well as show was ability Kabi was currently using.
4. Almost a year later, I switched Misao's and Kabi's hair style (going back to the original hair style, kinda). This picture was actually taken from the first transformation sequence I drew for Kabi. It was ridiculous, but that was my aim XD I sticked with the costume's design but changed it a bit. I admit I sorta liked that costume but not for Kabi. Her sort-of official age was 16. The Star Pendant now had the shape of a star. The ahoge, originally part of Misao's hairstyle is now a keeper to Kabi's design.
5. I decided to change Kabi's complicated design in order to further reference Kirby. Kirby is a f-cking circle with a face, flaps and feet. I clearly needed to make Kabi's design easier. So I made a sort of skin-tight suit while trying to add some details from past designs. The wings became the smallest in any design and the Star Pendant was now in a huge collar around her neck. Also! This was when I started to make Kabi have more muscle. Kirby's abilities, to inhale and throw, were the reason behind that change. Her age was between 16 and 17 again. I didn't really draw this design much because of how...naked it looked, but it inspired the latter designs.
6. My most hated design. This shouldn't be considered a design but a joke instead <_< Inspired by Cammy, sorta. Yea from Street Fighter. Gawd, what was I thinking. I immediately rejected this design. However, I have to mention this was the first time I added into the design: the two-colour hair (representing Kabi's inability to fully transform); the stars in her eyes (I can't say they're pupils, exactly..); finally, the larger breasts (this was sort of whimsical, but also in part to show some roundness) <.<
7. The last design, even though I'd do minor revisions later. In this design I started thinking about space for the first time. I mean, the damn thing was called Kabi of the Stars back then, how could I not think Sci-fi? I gave Kabi a suit inspired by many mecha anime, most importantly Code Geass. I toned down Kabi's muscles and breast size from the past design, but I kept most of the aforementioned characteristics. I started thinking about the story more seriously during this stage (which is something that has sorta haunted me ever since...its hard to start a comic, y'know).
8. This is the final design, I hope. Its the same as the last, mostly. It has minor revisions that make me feel more comfortable with it. Lamely, it features 7 stars in the design (2 on the hands, 2 on the feet and 3 on her back). That wasn't on purpose orz I also finally gave Misao a birthday, March 20.

Well, I currently hope to have some stuff finished by the 4th anniversary of Kabi. That is, June 15, 2011 XD
